The room was large, the bed was comfortable and the heating worked well. Everything was clean. Ample free parking and nice green surroundings. The hotel does not offer breakfast but there is a local cafe and there is also a shopping area nearby with a Costa and an M&S cafe offering great breakfast / lunch. It was a friendly check in and where some maintenance was taking place they made sure to communicate. The old building and the surroundings had charm and the local walks were brilliant even in the rain! The addition of the Nespresso machine was nice. The staff are always welcoming and kind, the rooms are always amazing and comfortable and value for money.
