I missed my flight from Heathrow informed them that I am not coming today but will be there tomorrow morning. When we get there receptionist was busy on the phone and she knows we are standing there. She was on mobile not the hotel phone. Then one of the staff was watching also this and she came to the desk and tell her that customers are waiting Rather Appologising or saying hello She just asked what is the guest name Which I tell her she took the payment and gave is keys. When we went in room there was no milk and water which is complementary. Rang at reception no one turns up. Later we left as visiting family friends and came late night. Next day morning I rang and they provide us just milk but no water. I love the free parking.
I love the free parking. Their bed and spa is fabulous 👌 I love their menu with fish. The Privilege king rooms are fabulous with a bath and shower. The rooms are spacious and the staff are great and helpful. The property is a big 5 bedroom house in a good location but has only one toilet. I didn't like the way I was treated by the host at the end of my stay. Please whenever you check in to this property make sure everything is in order even the furniture to avoid you making extra payment at the end of your stay over the things you know nothing about. Make sure you open and close the cupboards to make sure the doors are well fixed. Check the blinds to be sure they are well fixed. Another Northern town that needs & deserves more visitors? The centre has a couple of very interesting sites (Victorian Arts & Crafts style Council Offices were beautiful inside). But they are on the edge of a vast, deserted square ringed by mainly pubs & bars which are closed/deserted during the daytime. Maybe things come alive after dark, but I doubt it...If you live in the crowded South of England, you might find this refreshing/alarming/interesting/disappointing, depending on your point of view.
