The beach was lovely, love the beach.

The beach was lovely, love the beach. There was visitors that had their canoes, and underwater swimmers. Every day was different. I did not go up to the Hotel it's self as was my dogs first holiday and didn't want to leave her on her own not knowing how she would be in a strange place with other dogs. I went through to fort William where my dad was brought up it was lovely day out.

Glen Coe is beautiful if the weather is decent.

Glen Coe is beautiful if the weather is decent. If it's raining, it's pretty miserable. There really wasn't anything open in early October so we were challenged for things to do and we weren't even there a day. Our place was 25-30 minutes removed from hiking locations and near the one place open for dinner.

Onich is in a beautiful setting.

Onich is in a beautiful setting. Our pod had a lovely sunny private patio with a stunning view looking down the loch. It is in the centre of an outdoor activities area so there lots of nearby things to do - walking, climbing, mountain biking, sailing , paddle boarding etc. The hotel has reasonably priced bar and restaurant with charming staff. The food was average but it may depend what you order- I had vegetarian burger, my partner had scampi. If weather very poor there is a very nice small cinema, ten pin bowling etc in Fortwilliam which is 15 min drive. Pod is reasonably well equipped, bed was very comfortable but apart from a coat stand, there is nowhere to store clothes. There are no tea towels either.

End of our trip so only stayed one night - however this place is pretty and relaxing and I would say is ideal for exploring the likes of Fort William, Ben Nevis, Glencoe, Glenfinnan Viaduct etc so you could easily spend a few nights here before heading on to the Isle of Skye or further North.

Onich is really well positioned to visit some great places.

Onich is really well positioned to visit some great places. Ben Nevis is at Fort William, with the delicious whiskey distillery at its foot. Definitely visit Loch Shiel (famous filming location) and the viaduct at Glenfinnan (as seen in Harry Potter). You'll be totally spoilt with the stunning scenery on the way to and from Eilean Donan castle on Loch Duich - it's a bit of a drive but so, so worth it.

The view of the loch was good.

The view of the loch was good. It was a stormy day and night, but that was an interesting view too. It was a small simple room, which is all we need. I could do without the TV. The picture on the website made it super easy to spot as we approached. This was a great location for a stopover between things we did.

Loved this hotel! Was so easy getting on the little ferry and a lovely warm welcome, gorgeous room very clean and warm with comfy beds and a lovely sea view. Really good food in the bar and a fab residents lounge with loads of games etc for the kids, and a nice breakfast next morning. Service with a very big smile. We had a great stay this hotel and we intend to return often.

The owner was very knowledgeable and a friendly person. At check-in he provided all necessary details regarding the property. There is no food option within the property but there is a kitchen if you would like to prepare food for yourself or there are a couple of pubs and restaurants nearby. Common Kitchen & dining is small but fully functional and well equipped.

Amazing location, I had a view of the loch from the room. The hotel is well staffed, the staff was super efficient both in the restaurant and at the reception. The wifi (in the main building) was pretty good by hotel standards. I was quite happy with the room: very clean, the bathroom was brand new and there was all I need (a desk, kettle, wardrobe bed).

Beautiful location, for exploring the mountains, with a small private beach. We just need to revisit in the summer to take full advantage of the beach. The Onich Hotel was only 2 minutes walk away, gorgeous food and very friendly staff who accommodated our party of 6 with 2 dogs no problem

We booked this hotel during Storm Amy after being stuck in a traffic jam for 4 hours. We arrived at 8pm and the staff were amazing and couldn’t do enough to make our stay perfect in every way. They opened the kitchen to make us food and made sure everything was perfect.
