Everyone we interacted with was friendly. The town looked a bit “concrete”, lacking in character. Limited dining opportunities during our midweek stay. My mum was born in Carfin, and we visited relatives there quite frequently - mostly passed on now. My wife and I were on our way to a holiday in the highlands so we decided to break our journey in Motherwell. I was last there about fifty years ago, so everywhere was very different! We stayed at the Innkeepers Lodge for a nearby family reunion. Accommodation easy to find as just off M74. Strathclyde Park offered a quiet place for a stroll or bustle of amusement Park for younger generation.Guest review byDouglas

The staff are all very friendly and welcoming. The accommodation is clean, tiday and comfortable. Ample free parking. In a quiet residential area and easy quick drive to local areas. We visited for the British Junior Rowing Championship and it was an ideal spot. The food was amazing and they catered for gluten and dairy free which was a bonus. I had my Grandas 90th birthday here. And loved it since. My Mum & sister frequent here for meals & drinks and staff are always very welcoming and friendly. Food is always delicious, and I love their selection of wine and cocktails. Rooms are lovely decorated and beds comfortable. It's in a great location for Motherwell town centre.
