It's a great town with many interesting shops and places to eat and drink. It has a good vibe about the place. We found an excellent French cafe/restaurant which was very good . Marlborough is charming.
Marlborough is charming. A good choice of places to eat for both full meals and for coffee & cake. I enjoyed browsing and buying from the large selection of quality shops - especially ladies' wear, brands not seen on my local high street but usually found in bigger cities. THERE WAS A CHARMING FOUR-POSTER BED AND THERE WAS ACCESS TO A LITTLE BALCONY AREA. AS THE BUILDING WAS CONSTRUCTED IN 1745, THERE WERE A LOT OF UNEVEN FLOORS AND CREAKING FLOORBOARDS, WHICH IS TO BE EXPECTED. THE LOCATION WAS EXCELLENT AS WE WERE ATTENDING A WEDDING AT MARLBOROUGH TOWN HALL, WHICH IS ONLY A FEW MINUTES WALK AWAY. BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT AND THE STAFF WERE DELIGHTFUL.
