We liked the attention paid to details and the hospitality and care shown by Robert and Richard who take great pride in their establishment and in their hosting of guests who stay here. It was indeed a luxury B & B experience for us and we loved the cleanliness of the room , the bathroom as well as the comfortable bed and soft towels. Breakfast porridge was also the best!

If anyone is looking for a hotel with an old English feel like in the series "Fawlty Towers", this is the place for you. Only the staff are much friendlier than Basil Fawlty. The lobby, the grandfather clock, the old telephone, the historical details made me very happy.

Lynton and lynmouth are just beautiful places to visit.

Lynton and lynmouth are just beautiful places to visit. Plenty of great pubs and places to eat set in a very picturesque environment. The cliff railway was interesting to ride on and the Exmoor visitors centre was very informative. The valley of rocks was amazing to visit.

Lynton is a lovely small village with all amenities you need. Couple of pubs with good food and drink. Some excellent food restaurants especially the Kensington for steaks. The Green house was brilliant for early morning coffee and fry up. If going to Lynemouth then take the train - walking up and down ( we did both) is brutal and you need to be fit and healthy to do either.

Lynton isn't the easiest place to drive to but well worth the effort. We avoided Porlock Hill (we have a very old car) and used the toll road. It costs £3 but the views are wonderful. Lynton itself has plenty of places to eat, a good Arts and Crafts Centre plus a second-hand community bookshop, as well as lots of other interesting shops. It's a lovely little town just to wander round and of course you have the cliff railway to take you down to Lynmouth.

Lynton is a lovely little town, plenty of eating places.

Lynton is a lovely little town, plenty of eating places. The only down side is the hill getting there, it is very, and the turn into Lynton is very sharp. Choughs Nest Hotel is a lovely place good views, but the breakfast was not up to much for me, and it's the only hotel we've stayed in where you don't get any bottles of water.

Both Lynton and Lynmouth are beautiful villages with many shops, cafes and restaurants. It’s lovely to just walk round in the evening too. There is the added bonuses of the vehicular tram and a cute independent cinema. Lynton is between Minehead and Barnstaple, so you can easily get to anywhere you would like to go in between. It’s a perfect central location.

The Ingleside is located almost "downtown" in Lynton in walking distance to all the restaurants and shops. Hiking paths are also reachable from this B & B without the need for a car etc. The house is very cosy with a traditional charm, thus, it is like you would imagine a typical English B & B. The breakfast was very good with lots of options. The owner, Diane, is a very nice lady with some good advice regarding the area around Lynton and Lynmouth. I would definitely come again.

The staff were great from the moment we arrived to the time we checked out. Really friendly and helpful in offering advice about places to go locally. Room was a good size with a great view. Location wise it is ideal for accessing what Lynton and Lynmouth have to offer and good links to get further afield as well.

This was the best hotel we have stayed in, the layout and decor was like staying in National Trust property, the host could not do enough for us and the food was incredible. The view was stunning from our room and although was very quiet outside was only short walk to the cliff railway and shops in Lynton.
