Hosts went out of their way to accommodate our unavoidable, late arrival time, even providing a freshly baked sweet because we would miss dinner. The rooms were clean and well-appointed; breakfast was great. Traffic noise was a little noticeable, but did not detract from the stay at all. Short walk to the beach.

Largs in beautiful for the views.

Largs in beautiful for the views. Going over too the island takes just a few minutes on the ferry and definitely worth a visit as its stunning. Fish and Chips from Fish works is the absolute best!! If you love haggis, try the viking chip shop for amazing battered haggis. Lots of different shops fro gifts and lots of charity shops if you like hunting for bargains. Beautiful little sweet shop too on the High Street. We went for the Viking Festival and although it was good, I don't think you need to spend the money on the tickets too see the burning of the boat because by the time you have got through the crowds too the ticket area the boat has already been burnt. Food and drinks at the festival stores are expensive but delicious. There are loads of market stalls there too selling all homemade items and cakes etc. The viking village is worth a visit too if that's your thing. Largs its self is lovely on a quite day. There is a large morriosns store within a few minutes drive from the centre or there is also coop and tesco express stores in the town centre. Largs is perfect from exploring that part of Scotland as lots too see within a short drive. I'm not sure about family activities as I don't have children.

Largs has much to offer great places to eat and some good pubs. Easy to get around, bus services are frequent and Glasgow easily accessible by train. Lovely long walks along the sea front. We were there during the viking festival (Sept) not to be missed. Short ferry trip to Millport is recommended.

Its excellent to visit places up the coast , they are great towns with breathtaking views. Then go down the coast to Ayr. Stay and walk along the sea front for miles. Or visit the first week in Sept for the viking spectacular displays. Shops, cafes and even a fair. Go to Kelburn castle and be amazed at the painting of it, or adventure through the trails and trees with the kids looking for carvings and tree monsters. Its a great day out if out like a good walk or a cafe area to rest and wait boats to view. Its just a lovely place but dont expect too much if the weather let's you down thats not the locals fault they are always lovely. I loved the Marina up the road , so clean and beautiful to walk round , with miles of FLAT coastal paths, even suitable for a wheelchair.

Going to Largs was like a trip into the past as I used to...

Going to Largs was like a trip into the past as I used to live about thirty miles away and this coast was a regular "go to place"!! And it is still a lovely place to visit. As we were visiting relatives we really had little time to do any exploring, but a couple of visits to Nardini's and a sail over to the Isle of Cumbrae and Millport were must do's!!.

Largs is a great family town for anyone with small children, the funfair is on the seafront and amusements, plenty of places for eating, and local shops to browse in. Also so easy to have a day out in Millport, another great place for kids, our 7 year old had a great day out there too.

Arrived and there was very strong smell of marijuana ,weed in close, accomodation was very clean and tidy, very thoughtful leaving milk tea coffee, , on our first night we went to take dog out late at night and left keys and our phones in flat and locked ourselves out, had call locksmith and pay him, 🫢 Be back in largs again in 2 weeks although staying in Hollywood flat as will have my father with me who has dementia and likes look at sea, holiday a few times a year in largs and actually thinking about moving here.

This was our 4th or 5th visit over many years and is a good place for us to break our journey up to the Scottish Highlands. The staff were friendly and helpful and we had a good breakfast and comfortable room. Easy parking in the hotel car park. We drove south for an enjoyable visit to Culzean Castle and its lovely country park and on a previous visit took a ferry across to the Isle of Bute for the day. We always enjoy visiting Nardini's ice-cream parlour in Largs.

Thanks for the stay. Lovely hotel. Used to live in Largs. Note the room has a double light switch but only the single main lights appear to work. Shower head is stuck and won’t move up or down.
