This is our 2nd time here. We love Falmouth and Merchants Manour is perfect place to explore. Lovely, clean rooms and very comfortable bed. The breakfast is so lovely and the service provided by Harrison was above and beyond. We were greeted by Jasmine on arrival who was the most beautiful welcoming person and made it feel like we were coming home. The gorgeous person attending the pool was a delight too, blond with a beard sorry no name, unfortunately the rest of the staff didn’t give the same service or interaction even as these few. We didn’t bother with the bar or dinner after the average service we got at the bar made us think twice. I have to stress though it was a lovely experience, just need more Jasmines and Harrison’s. A place can be nice but the people make you feel welcome and comfortable.

There was not very much we did not like about our stay, we asked to change rooms due to noise and without hesitation, we were upgraded and had a balcony sea view. The breakfasts were fresh and more than adequate. We had guests from outside the hotel join us for breakfast and they were well received. Our visits to the spa were timed to be at the quieter parts of the day and we always left feeling refreshed and energised.

Interesting independant shops, great places to eat )vegetarian and vegan(, lovely beach and close distance to other interesting seaside towns. We enjoyed the live music venues and the young buzz of the town against the background of historical interest. The maritime museum, the castle and great places for children to run around .... if we had any with us!! A late night Tesco express was also very convenient!

The bus service is good - so well worth using it as parking in Cornwall tourist spots is difficult. The ferry rides to surrounding areas are well worth taking. It's a student town and so quite lively but everyone we met was extremely polite and friendly. Town kept very clean by CCC.

Due to one of our group having recently broken her foot and arm we were very restricted but enjoyed candle painting with Kia at Outerspace where i was able to drop her outside. A very enjoyable relaxing activity. Found a lovely carpark at St Dennis with amazing views to sit in the car eating our pasties while the weather gave us its usual cornish 4 seasons within 1 hour .

Falmouth is a lovely Cornish town, filled with independent shops and eateries that make browsing and chilling out a treat. The river, the Marina and Maritime Museum add to the ambience and it has the added bonus of a regular ferry over to St Mawes. The Pendennis Headland, with it's wood lined paths that give glimpses of the sea, is worth having a walk out for to see the star fort and small castle. From here you can access short walks through very mature woodland with gorgeous old trees throughout the headland. Worth a visit.

excellent bus service, easy to get around without a car. Great area for coastal walking, lovely walk from Gyllingvase beach to Swanpool. A fun way to travel get the ferry to St Mawes or cross the river at Helford Passage. Gweek seal sanctuary is also an interesting visit.

Loved the interesting shops and good selection of cafes, bars, restaurants etc. The fish and chips at Harbour Lights were great and we really enjoyed the tapas restaurant Bodega. Able to explore everything in Falmouth on foot if you are based close enough, parking the car every day can be costly. Enjoyed getting the ferry to explore St Mawes. Josh of Wake & Ski was a great instructor for our teenagers trying water skiing for the first time. The Cornish Seal Sanctuary at Gweek was lovely, and just a half hour drive away. Everybody was very friendly, there's a lovely atmosphere in Falmouth.

I liked the location and the room was very nice and clean. The facilities was really good. with free Wi-Fi ensuite bathroom. and it wasn’t that nicer must have made a lovely hotel lovely place and was ok 100% recommend it to anybody. But for me, I’m saying it because it was a great location for me to come down for Halifax to Falmouth to see my kids who live in Falmouth yourself and it’s the only place that I could afford to stay so I must say it is a great hotel and a lovely price And again definitely recommend it A+++

Lovely hotel with lots of period features and character. Polite and accommodating staff. About 20 mins walk to the quay area where the Maritime Museum is located - quite a steep hill walking back but Falmouth is very hilly. Good sized and very comfortable room. Decent selection of cereal and pastries for breakfast but the cooked stuff, although obviously quality produce, was not to my taste.

I booked a room at short notice and it was the cheapest option. The hotel is in a grand Georgian terraced house is a short walk from Falmouth Town Railway station at the western end of Falmouth’s principal street. My room was large, clean and comfortable. The bathroom similarly spacious with immediate hot water.
