Lovely area, don't expect lots of excitement, but it's great...
Lovely area, don't expect lots of excitement, but it's great for nature lovers! All inns offer food and it's of great quality - very tasty and at good price overall. Beware, you'll need good boots and clothes to walk around, the road is used by lots of cars, so pay attention to that. You will need a car to get farther than the nature walks - e.g. Eskadale proper or a city. I recommend it for reconnecting with nature and with your significant other. Ganny cottage was the perfect choice for a relaxing weekend...
Ganny cottage was the perfect choice for a relaxing weekend away with our dog. There are so many amazing walks from the doorstep and there are some lovely dog friendly pubs in Boot which you can find on foot. The food and service in the Brook house Inn was great. Stayed in Eskdale many times.
Stayed in Eskdale many times. We keep returning because it's quite than done places in the Lake District, fell and mountains walk are abundant. Several local pubs offer food including the Woolpack Inn which do excellent pizza and chunky chips. Suits us and our active lifestyle.Guest review byMichelle
