I was pleasantly surprised. The rooms were absolutely beautiful . My room had a beautiful bath. The decor was exquisite. On the day before we stayed at a 5*hotel in the city in London and this room was by far a much much nicer experience. They also had a bottle of some liquor with two cups, which we drank, and it was a lovely gesture. We didn't try the tea or coffee from the room. At breakfast, my husband and I ordered vegetarian breakfasts, and it was delicious. We are not vegetarian, but you won't be hungry at all. Breakfast was very nice and filling. The girl at the breakfast was incredibly lovely.

This is an independently owned character hotel. Location in Eton High Street, but the rooms are set back away from the street. The hotel has a quaint bar, and separate breakfast room. The breakfast is freshly prepared AND breakfast is available until 10:30/11:00! The hotel staff are professional, knowledgeable and friendly. And you will receive a welcome voucher. The room was compact but cosy. The internet was fine.

I had a wonderful stay at the Fairmont. The rooms were spacious, impeccably clean, and very comfortable. The hotel’s location was ideal, making it easy to explore nearby attractions.     We loved the actual hotel.

    We loved the actual hotel. Redolent with memories of a past age it has been modernised discreetly and caters to every comfort. Set in spectacular grounds and including a spa and heated outdoor swimming pool, time just flies here. The food is delicious and very varied. The whole experience is set off by the staff: friendly, attentive and extremely pleasant. We shall certainly be returning to this delightful hotel.

    Apart from Winsor and Hampson Court not much locally unless going into London,which we didn't want to do.But it chilling out and using spa great for a short break. I imagine amazing for a wedding or special occasion.

    It's a university town, what can one say?

    It's a university town, what can one say? The nice thing is that it is small and actually quiet. There are a couple of nice restaurants and all the necessary shops. The train is convenient if you have to go to a bigger town for some shopping or you're on your way to London.

    Egham is an excellent base for visits.

    Egham is an excellent base for visits. Website tends to send people London bound and misses the wonderful Runnymede Meadows, Windsor Great Park, Savill Gardens, Virginia Water and Windsor itself, also Heathrow if you are interested in that. Always recommend Savill Garden and the wonderful freedom of Windsor Great Park. Bar 163 in the High Street offers good menu. Also a good base for several sporting events inc. RFU Twickenham etc,

    I loved walking through Runnymede & seeing some of the Magna...

    I loved walking through Runnymede & seeing some of the Magna Carta monuments. Mostly I wanted to see Writ in Water but I enjoyed others too https://www.nationaltrust.org.uk/runnymede/features/turner-prize-winning-artist-to-create-new-work-to-celebrate-magna-carta There are marked paths taking you across fields, along the river Thames and in ancient woodland.

    We was only there as our daughter was graduating at royal Holloway university. The planes are constant but you are next door to Heathrow. Lively town center Plenty of places to eat and drink We recommend bray marina restaurant beautiful location on the river just outside of egham. The crown pub was excellent Would definitely stay a little further away from Heathrow only due to noise. Virginia waters amazing and free apart from parking £3.00 an hour.

    The hotel is lovely and in a stunning location on the river. With great walks either way. Breakfast was really great and lots of car parking spaces so no worries on getting parked. Room was nice with a comfy bed. The room was well sound proofed as well - which was great as there was a few parties going on when we stayed before Christmas.

    Only stayed for bed and breakfast, It was our Wedding night and the hotel lovingly upgraded us to The Duke of Wellington room too which was excellent. The hot bath filled within minutes with plenty of Hot! water and everything in the room was very comfortable.
