Beach front location. Argyll Hotel right beside the small caravan site. The hotel has a bar and does amazing food. The beach is very quiet and clean golden sands. Roads are quiet and the Kintyre Peninsula is feels very secluded and not touristy. Dog friendly caravan and hotel.

The bus from the ferry stops at their front door. The restaurant and pub are very friendly, efficient, and the food is great. I Loved, Loved, the Vegan Roumalade. My favorite meal of my 4 week trip. It is on the water. Our room was small but very nice. happy to stay here again

It is a nice village but really, very little there. Decent golf course and lovely views from the top but 2-3 hours would really be sufficient. Couple of beaches which are good but just not a lot to do.

The traditional holiday route to Carradale is via a long single track road, so best arrive by daylight if new to the area. Together with nearby Saddell Bay however, it's well worth the journey, and tempts one to stay longer. I dined by pre-booking at nearby Drumfearn B&B; another great stop!

Outstanding place very welcoming owners on hand but far away if required. Top quality place with nothing short almost perfect. I can’t fault it. Wine and fresh bread as gifts on arrival and a roaring fire. Best place I have been for the money. Lovely shower too!!

Pretty village with lots of local walks and excellent beach. I visited in February/March, so not all facilities were open, but Ashbank, community shop and Blackbird Tearoom had everything I needed

Area is in remote peninsula (Kintyre), on the east side. Main road runs down the west, so the east side has less traffic (and twisty single track roads!). Lovely area during our out-of-season visit with very friendly locals. Restaurants, etc needed to be pre-booked due to being out of season.

Quiet location about 14 miles from the main town of Campletown. Steve is a wonderful Chef and you can eat at Carradales Guest house. There is also lots of other places to eat in the area. Main drawback is that a lot of the roads are single track.
