We loved the scenery, bucket list walk, ticked ✅ off.
We loved the scenery, bucket list walk, ticked ✅ off. We stayed in the Buttermere Court hotel, all staff very friendly, clean comfortable rooms, ours was first floor with a few small flights of stairs. Room 5 was over the dining room for residents not over the bar. Very flexible on cooked breakfast, perfect poached egg. Lake and Mountain View from room. Car park had cones for residents ready to use on arrival, free until departure at 11am moved the car a few spaces along and paid on return from walk. On the road side of the walk the terrain can be a little rocky and we walked through the tunnel. On return we had a lovely bowl of soup at Sykes farm cafe and a filled Yorkshire pudding just before the Bridge Hotel.Guest review byElizabethUnited Kingdom - 10.0

The hotel was walking distance from both lakes.
The hotel was walking distance from both lakes. Although Buttermere is a very busy spot with tourists we found it peaceful, pleasant and safe to walk around. There were a lot of dog walkers having a great time. WiFi and mobile phone signal is poor and intermittent but it was good to be off line for a few hours.
