All necessary amenities (laundry washing mashine, dishwasher mashine, coffee mashine, air conditioning, private parking place, very good space organisation 3 rooms + kitchen). A great hotel for our quick introduction to the lovely town of Saint Jean de Luz. Aside from its ideal location, the rooms are contemporary, sound proofed, and well furnished. Most of all, we appreciated the terrific staff who went out of their way to help us with directions, restaurants, bus transportation -- even rounding up a plate and silverware for a take-home treat to enjoy in the room. This is a pretty Pays Basque village with a fabulous church...

This is a pretty Pays Basque village with a fabulous church at its centre (see my photos). It has all the usual French shops for bread, wine, cheese, pharmacy needs, plus several bars, cafes and restaurants. There is a large hypermarket half way between the village and the hotel, which includes a petrol station and a 24-hour (outdoor) launderette. The hotel is actually a few kilometres out of town but still in the "commune" of St Pee sur Nivelle. There are no facilities (hypermarkets, small shops, bars etc) in reasonable walking distance of the hotel, so you need transport. But the food and bar in the hotel is excellent, as are the staff.

Hilly in all directions leading down to the lake.

Hilly in all directions leading down to the lake. Plenty of water facilities and restaurants plus only fifteen minutes from Spain if you fancy some smuggling. We will return to explore more and eat at Bizi Restaurant again.

Lovely hotel in the French countryside. Spacious room, very comfortable bed. Excellent shower. Appreciated the balcony outside the room plus seated areas in the garden and patio with loungers for relaxing. Very tasty breakfast. Free onsite parking. Extremely helpful staff (apart from bar manager). Good onsite restaurant. Only 2km into town where there are plenty of shops, bars and restaurants. Good base for exploring the general area and close to canoeing and train de la Rhune.

Laura was fantastic and very welcoming. The hotel has a pool that is very clean and we had practically to ourselves. The room was extremely clean and the hotel is located in a beautiful village that is full of good and affordable restaurants. It is also located at about 30 mins from the beaches of Sant Jean de Lus and Hendaye.
