The host was super nice and the apartment was ok.

Everything was perfect here! Eva & Patrick were wonderful hosts. A beautiful, re-built stone house close to the Gorges de Méouge. Parking at the house, had a wonderful big room, comfy bed, warm bathroom! Patrick cooked & served a lovely three course dinner (very advisable to book with the room!). Breakfast was incredible with paté, cold cuts, cheese, fresh fruit salad …. wow! Thanks to you both for a very enjoyable stay with lots of nice conversations & fun! Holger

We thoroughly enjoyed our night spent at Daphrose. The evening meal prepared by the host Brigitte for us was superb. Everything made from local produce and ingredients. It was delicious. Brigitte is a lovely lady and we wish her well.

We highly recommend Gites les Costoliers for a peaceful countryside retreat near Sisteron, France. Our week-long stay was a delight, thanks to the welcoming and helpful attitude of the Viki, Marteen and the kids. They went above and beyond to ensure our comfort and satisfaction throughout our visit. One of the highlights of our stay was the daily visits from the owners' friendly dog, which added a touch of warmth to our experience. We particularly enjoyed our walks through the nearby forest, accompanied by our canine companion. The serene natural surroundings provided the perfect backdrop for relaxation and rejuvenation. Gites les Costoliers offers an authentic taste of rural French life, and we left feeling refreshed and looking forward to our next visit.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

The owners are amazing and extremely welcoming. The hotel itself is lovely, featuring a courtyard garden where you can enjoy drinks and breakfast. The room looks exactly as it does in the pictures; it was well presented, comfortable, and equipped with all the facilities I needed. Additionally, it offered a picturesque view overlooking the garden.

We usually stay at 4 and 5 star hotels when we travel, and we travel a lot, so I did not know what to expect here. I have to say that after spending 6 nights at this wonderful gite, I thought this was as good as a luxury hotel, but with a soul! The owners, a super nice, retired Dutch couple, who live on the same property with their two super cute dogs, Pernod and Pastis (!), have done an amazing job with the property and are extremely good hosts. The location: about a 15 minutes drive from the center of Sisteron, the location is excellent as a base to explore all the nearby town and cities by car, and have nature surround you when you want to relax. Apart from Sisteron, I did trips to Gap, Banon, Forcalquier, all in less than an hour, even visited Aix-en-Provence (1h20m), all by electric car. This place combines the rustic feeling of staying in an upscale gite in the middle of nowhere, with great facilities (like the pool), overlooking mountains and nature, with the ease of reaching popular destinations. The gite: we stayed in the larger of the two apartments, including a full kitchen (no oven, only microwave) / dining room / living room, which is very well appointed with everything you may need to cook and eat - even got some fresh eggs from the owners' 4 chickens! - plus a TV if you want to watch something on your favorite streaming media platform before going to bed (great internet too). The bedroom is also very nice and comfortable, so is the bathroom, with a large shower. The gite is very tastefully decorated and super clean, with all the amenities you may need. Outside you have a very nice area to chill, with a table and chairs overlooking the vegetable garden and the mountains, under a tree. The garden is very nice, and super well kept, and the pool is inviting if you feel like cooling down on a hot sunny day. Pernod and Pastis will guard you!
