Menthon-Saint-Bernard is a very small town but it has a bar, restaurants, bakers and a well-stocked "local" supermarket. People very friendly! Where nearby Annecy is a beautiful, bustling city, Menthon is better for those who prefer the relative peace of the lake and mountains, yet is only a half hour drive into the city. There is also a bus service. Obviously very popular with cyclists, it is a VERY cycle-friendly place! There were lots of annoying roadworks at the time of our visit. We ate at the hotel and at the Chalet by the lake - nice, chilled pub-grub type food.Guest review byDAPHNEFrance
