This needs to be made clear in the advert so people are aware to bring food. There was no access to the spa facility or massages when we were there … they are at extra cost too. Guines is near Calais but out in delightful countryside.
Guines is near Calais but out in delightful countryside. This Logis has far more faclities in summer - swimming pool, gardens, and much much more. We have never stayed there in summer but you can get all the details on their website. We stay there as it is very handy for Eurotunnel whilst out of Calais. There are several restaurants in Guines. Guines was a sad little place that had obviously seen better...
Guines was a sad little place that had obviously seen better days. The marketplace was being renovated but the only place we saw to get a drink was a run down bar with a poor old lady still working behind it. The highlight of the "town" was the fabulous bakery which seemed to be open all hours and had the most amazing choice of bread and lovely things!
