This is truly an awesome castle, we loved it, so old worldly it was just gorgeous, a real step back in time, we felt so privileged to be able to stay. We ate at the restaurant up the road as it was a Monday and the main restaurant was not open. We loved the food, we loved the atmosphere and the staff were so wonderful. The interior has such a tasteful decoration, beautifully renovated (building from the 17th century). Breakfast and dinner was amazing. The surrounding environment is wonderful. The breakfast is particularly good and served in a very friendly manner and very efficiently. Dinner at the nearby L'Atelier d'Etoges is worth trying. The hotel staff are very helpful with ad-hoc requests (such as keeping food in the fridge/freezer or storing cases of wine in a cool room).
