Clessé is a pretty small town with a small village shop, hairdresser some wine tasting and a small restaurant. The co-op for wine tasting was a lovely stop on way around town giving us a taste of the lovely local white wine Viré Clessé. It takes 5 mins to walk around the town. There are some walks through the vineyards if you want to walk a bit longer. We went there to have a nice dinner/ stay over for our anniversary. The Chateau de Besseuil where we were staying was fully booked, and the local restaurant was closed for a few days. Next time I would stay at a place with either more local restaurants or make sure that we were able to book dinner before we booked our overnight accommodation. If you want to get away from it all for a night, then it is a good stop over.Guest review byEvelynSwitzerland

Fully dog friendly with lovely garden, swimming pool and country views. We had a dinner at the hotel's restaurant which was exceptional. We had also tasted the house mane wines and bought a couple as a souvenir to bring home. We unexpectedly needed somewhere to stop whilst driving back from the Alps and found this hotel / chateau. The rooms are a modern not classic style but this is fine. We enjoyed a memorable dinner in the garden, with a "planche" full of delicious local cheese, charcuterie and vegetables prepared by the owner, and a bottle of wine from the wine yard next to the property.
