Beautiful medieval town with quaint streets and a lovely farmers market while we were there. The chateau is worth a visit and you get beautiful views from the ramparts and across to the country side and river. Easy to walk everywhere as we were close to town. Chinon is a beautiful old mediaeval town by a large river. Extremely attractive with narrow streets and pretty squares. Lots of bars and restaurants. Lovely clean, modern facility (more of a bed & breakfast than what I would call a hotel). The host was really helpful & attentive. We had the last available room as it was a last minute booking & our host apologised for the size of the room, but it was absolutely fine for our needs. The hotel is within walking distance of a variety of great restaurants & Chinon is a lovely historic, picturesque town. The house is really spacious and you can see the effort that has gone into providing everything you could need. The bedrooms and bathrooms are well kept and the pool, garden, bbq area mean you can spend full days there in the sun. The house was clean on arrival and off-street parking is provided. No shops nearby but only a 20min walk to Chinon which has plenty of restaurants and boulangeries, and cycle and canoe hire.Guest review byJoshuaUnited Kingdom

The staff at the hotel were very friendly and helpful, and our room was in a small private courtyard a few metres from the main building, which we particularly liked. Breakfast was good, bread and croissants, etc, in the main building with various additional options available and as much tea and coffee as you want.
