The room was spacious, well-appointed and comfortable. It was very quiet, and easy access to the city. Private secure parking was great! The hosts were very nice and gave us a wonderful French breakfast in the morning. Really enjoyed our stay!

A very pleasant and welcoming town. I'll certainly be back. The nearby restaurant Inde ('e' acute} provided excellent food and good wine. Very easy to get around on foot. The station was only 15 minutes from the hotel. Lots of pleasant shops. And of course the famous Pruneaux d'Agen are delicious.

We spent 3 nights in Agen. Super city full of history. Information and maps available from the very helpful tourist office. Canal du Midi passes through the town and it has a cycle path - Voie Verte on both sides. For driving the centre is car free and a lot of the streets are one way!!

Agen is a bland town or city.

Agen is a bland town or city. However, having spent all night out on the streets the mild weather gives it a feeling less fear of dying. I spoke to people - I only saw males and I am a female. I was vulnerable but not under threat. A couple of people I spoke to in my very poor French with my native English and lots of body language, were lovely and approachable. However, there with storms in the night there were power cuts so it was very dark with no street lights. However, I was fobbed off by the propriator of the hotel in the rudest possible manner. I was refused entrance to my hotel because I was late (I had walked miles to get to it from the bus stop, I didn't know the area and the address is unmarked and down a small back street quite hidden. THis was not explained. Agen is a bit like Crew, it is a change point for trains to go anywhere but the town is a bit drab in itself.

The hotel is exquisite and excludes the owners love for Art Deco and his attention for detail - gorgeous! The Oscar Suite was luxurious, spacious and beautifully appointed. Sitting siping a drink on the glorious balcony in the evening sunshine was a treat. The whole overnight visit was topped off by the most magnificent breakfast from the freshly squeezed orange juice to the speciality breads and wonderful coffee. Excellent all round. We can't wait to come again.

This place has two great things going for it: the price and the location. Cleanliness was more than satisfactory as well, and the beds were good with fresh clean linens. Very good WI-FI. Margeaux (who you must call on arrival to check in) was helpful and responsive on the phone. Ask her to text you the wi-fi code. It's very close to the train station and right in the heart of Agen so you are close to everything.

After a long hot day of cycling this apartment was just the right thing for our two days in Agen. Well appointed, comfortable, clean and very well located in the middle of the action. The aircon was a pleasurable bonus during the very warm September weather. There are stairs up to the apartment and then up to the bedrooms but this didn’t bother us. Communication was always prompt. Highly recommended.

I stayed at the Ibis Agen at the last minute due to missed train connection. Booked at the last minute and everything was fine. Comfy bed, friendly staff, good location I picked it for its generous check-in and check-out times (2pm to noon). Other places had like 5pm to 10am. I had to work a bit and it was nice that there was a proper desk in the room and good wifi.

Nice hotel in downtown Agens. The rooms were modern and clean. The breakfast buffet had plenty of options and there was an option to add cooked eggs and/or ham. The proprietor was friendly and pleasant.
