Beziers is a small city with a long history.
Beziers is a small city with a long history. We enjoyed wandering the old streets as well as walking further afield to visit the 9 locks on the canal du midi. There are spectacular views from the cathedral and lots of excellent restaurants. Tracking down the trompe l'oeil frescoes on the walls of buildings is a fun thing to do. Don't miss the Parc des Poetes which is very pretty to stroll around. The station is about 20 minutes walk from the historic centre and is currently (October 2025) undergoing extensive renovations to the roads in front.
