Hotel Don Candido exceeded all my expectations- it is a beautiful hotel, the facilities are fantastic but most importantly, the front desk staff were the very best of any hotel I've ever been to. They were courteous, patient with the language difficulties, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was fantastic. Elena even went to the trouble of helping translate an urgent email i had been waiting on. Would definitely highly recommend this hotel.

The location is great. It's a short train ride to reach Montserrat Monastery from there, so we were able to arrive at the site in the early morning. The house is spacious and clean, and it is comfortable to stay there. The owner was friendly and helpful. He met us on a stormy August night to pick us up from the train station, and on the next day when we took the train from Montserrat Monastery back to town, he brought our luggage there to ensure that we were able to catch the next train to Barcelona. We really appreciate his friendliness and help!

The place itself is beautiful; a typical tradicional home that has been adapted and tastefully modernized, and that is kept in great condition. It has a lot of charm along with everything you need to be comfortable. They place is super clean and neat, and with a beautiful patio where you can enjoy your meals. The food is AMAZING and very reasonably priced. The staff is wonderful: very caring and kind. The town is small, cute and very walkable. Despise its size, there are many stores, restaurants and coffee shops within five minutes walking distance from the hotel. It is close to Barcelona, but also to amazing nature and other places of historical interest. It was absolute pleasure to stay there. I recommend it without a doubt.

You have everything you need just in one place! And of course near to your apartment! But if you want to cook some food at home - you will have everything, but it will be better to buy food before Monestrol 😉 Except of it - the best place for my opinion: cozy, warm, comfortable as possible

    Really enjoyed our overnight stay at this updated farmhouse...

    Really enjoyed our overnight stay at this updated farmhouse with working farm and cheesemaking shop. Rooms were spacious and very comfortable, nicely updated but retaining the feel of the original building. Lovely breakfast with best cured meats we've ever had and delicious cheese made on the property. Hosts were warm and friendly (as were the 3 resident outside dogs who were skilled at placing themselves for maximum petting). Quiet, rural setting with pretty views but convenient (with car); drove into town for dinner 10 minutes away, and Monserrat monastery was a short drive the next day.
