Palma is one of the most beautiful cities to visit. Lots to see and do. Superb food markets, restaurants and bars. Excellent range of shops. Great beaches with beautiful clear water to swim safely in. You can enjoy lots of tapas at reasonable prices or eat in high end restaurants as there is something to suit everyone’s budget. Palma is an excellent city to visit full of beautiful stone buildings with winding streets opening to wide plazas full of bars and restaurants. It has excellent shopping for all tastes and budgets and a wonderful range of small independent shops, art galleries and interior design companies. There's a range of food opportunities from traditional tapas bars to piazza and Asian foods. Its a lively yet chilled city and extra lovely outside the main summer months. Cathedral is 'mandatory' (pre-book) Main shopping streets are great but wander off to right and left for a more authentic experience. The Hotel St Francis rooftop bar is magical at night. Open to non residents in the evening if you can cope with the Instagramers. From the moment we stepped in, the staff were friendly and welcoming. The rooms were clean and the added touch of a daily stocked mini bar was great. Beds were very comfortable. Overall we had no complaints at all about the hotel itself. We found the best restaurants were about 15 min walk from the hotel, heading to the city centre.
