Clounys is essentially a tiny five-star-hotel. At least that is how the interior feels. Every handle, every piece of furniture and every surface is of high quality, designed by Bielefelder Werkstätten, I have been told. Especially the beds and bedding are amazing. The staff is very friendly and relaxed, they have a sense of humor and are informal. Please stay like that. There is also a top notch restaurant, which offers delicious food throughout the day. Clounys is right next to a subway station and since it is located in a shopping street, there is everything you need for a perfect northern Hamburg stay in 3 minute walking distance: supermarket, dry cleaner, pharmacy, undertaker. Also, minutes away: The beautiful Alsterpark, which feels more like an old growth forest.

What an amazing place! I got there by chance only because I was looking for an hotel close to certain destinations during a business trip by car. I liked it so much, that I would like to come back to enjoy it with more time and use the SPA as well. Congratulations on a very relaxing atmosphere and a very cool decor. Breakfast is fantastic, also the bedding, great sleep!

Everything was absolutely perfect! The rooms were very clean and spacious. Every detail and need was thoughtfully considered. I especially appreciated having a safe inside the room – such a big plus! Very clean, comfortable, and quiet. Large room, no noise from surrounding suites. Large bathroom with strong shower. Very friendly and helpful staff. Dog bed and bowls provided, ready in the room when we arrived. Nice, quiet area with planty of shops and footpaths. Highly recommended!

    Stayed over for a night during a bike trip. The breakfast was alright. The dinner at the restaurant was good value. It's a standard good value hotel if you are on a road trip (by car or bike).
