US army base has been re-purposed as a sort of yuppy neighborhood. Major park contains a coffee shop to watch the locals. we only had two nights in Furth but found the city hall and Jewish museums fascinating . There is great public transport and good cafes and old style Franconian restaurants . Luxury hotel in the middle of the forest. We had a lot of fun. At the bar, we ate a really delicious steak like never before in our life, I wholeheartedly recommend them to everyone. We arrived quite late at the evening and very fast went to room to get rest. Room was clean and nice, second bed prepared for our kids. Breakfast was good, all what is needed.
