Filsen is small rural village on bank of the Rhine
Filsen is small rural village on bank of the Rhine The main road bypasses the village and is lightly trafficked anyway . There is small shop on village centre and 2 large supermarkets 3/4 mins up the road in car or 5/6 on a cycle . Bar/ bistro 2 min walk from Apt . The ferry( pedestrians €2 each way ) is 2 min drive 5 min walk and crosses to Boppard that has numerous shops and cafes/bistros and good to pick up day or half day Rhine boat cruises. 20 k to koblenz one way 30 to rudesheim the other so easy to visit loreley and rest of central Rhine gorge on foot , cycle , road or rail .
