We had a wonderful stay at Gasthof Hotel zur Post! The hotel is located in a truly beautiful area, which made our stopover on the way to the Netherlands even more enjoyable. We stayed for just one night with our two dogs, and everything was perfect. The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. A special thanks to them for preparing a breakfast package for us the night before, since we had to check out early in the morning — such thoughtful service. We absolutely loved our stay and would recommend this place to everyone looking for a peaceful and accommodating stop.

The hotel was superb in every way. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful; our room was quiet, roomy and very comfortable and had a great view over the Danube; the buffet breakfast was outstanding with a wide range of quality food; the underground parking next door was wonderful; and, the location of the hotel could not be faulted - it was right in the heart of Passau Old Town and across the river from the old fort, Veste Oberhaus. We had a wonderful stay!!

Newly renovated, it has been beautifully and tastefully executed, everything sparkling clean. Our room was large and extremely comfortable. The bathroom was also large and practical. The restaurant was beautiful and comfortable and the food...WOW!! Breakfast was also well catered, fresh and tasty and all one would want. The staff, throughout the hotel, were obligingly and cheerfully helpful. Loved the place and can heartily recommend it as one of the best we have stayed in over many years of travelling in Europe.
