The front desk is only open until 8 PM; afterward, you need to enter and exit through the back door. Encountered three different staff members at different times, one of whom has a lower proficiency in English, but overall, they are all very enthusiastic. The location is also very close to lively areas. The breakfast content and quality are excellent, worth coming back for.

The staff were very friendly and welcoming! The location was ideal as it was within minutes of hikes and attractions but also gives you a feel that you are off the beaten path. We fully took advantage of the on-site spa. Our last night there I had their house special for dinner and it was one of the best meals I had during our trip! Also super pet friendly offering a nice wooded walking path at the back of the hotel.

Rooms were fabulous. We had plenty of room and each was equipped with a balcony and chairs. We had to drive a ways to get dinner, but all was worth it. I loved this hotel and would recommend it.

First of all, amazing location! It's right across the train station and the surrounding view looks amazing. The room was very clean, the bathroom was good size and very clean as well and there was an amazing view from my balcony. I was also able to check in earlier than the actual check in time. The staff were nice and friendly. The breakfast was also very good. Overall, it was great and I would love to stay here again during my next trip to Berchtesgaden 😁

Breakfast is included and it's absolutely delicious! The staff is incredibly friendly and treat you like family. Although we didn't utilize this service, they provide you with bus passes to get around town in - which is a nice perk! They have a handful of different types of saunas which were super relaxing to go around and rotate in. The pool is clean and great to cool off in after the saunas.

    Berchtesgaden is an amazing place for a vacation.

    Berchtesgaden is an amazing place for a vacation. There is so much to do with free bus access to hikes and other interesting sites. The town itself offers many dining options, places to visit, and a very helpful tourist info center. Berchtesgaden is easily accessible by train and a stay in a guest house gets you free bus service throughout the whole fantastic region. We highly recommend it as a place to visit for at least several days. We stayed six and could have stayed longer to take advantage of the many beautiful hikes in Alpine National Park.

    A beautiful area but you do need to be fortunate with the weather to appreciate it. If you are visiting Obersalzburgh and the Kehlestein, make sure it is fine before booking, or just hope you are lucky.

    We stayed in Berchtesgaden for 3 full days.

    We stayed in Berchtesgaden for 3 full days. It's right in the Bavarian Alps so the views are incredible. Berchtesgaden is a beautiful little town, as are most of the other small towns in Germany and Austria, where our trip took us. You can go to the Konigssee, do a boat tour, hike to the largest waterfall in Germany, or head over to Salzburg, which is only a 15-20 minute drive. Great area to check out!

    great hiking. Cute town. Eagles nest is a must see...especially the amazing views and the documentation center. The hstory is very interesting. It rained one day and we did a fun salt mine tour as well. Cute city to walk around. Kings lake is beautiful and the hikes there are great as well.

    Obersalzberg is where we visited.

    Obersalzberg is where we visited. The Eagles Nest is a quick visit as it’s just a restaurant and once you’ve seen the view there’s not a lot else. Get there early - it’s a zoo by 11:00am! Best bits were the lift and bus journey. Allow plenty of time for the documentation centre.

    A beautiful town with amazing mountain views and plenty to do. The guest card gives reductions on a number of attractions and free public transport in the area. Recommended - the Salzberg salt mine, Watzmanntherme (spa), Salzburg day trip, the Obersalzberg documentation centre and Eagle's Nest, Königssee boat trip (and swimming), Hintersee. There are places to eat next to the hotel, but also in the town centre (about 10-15 minutes on foot or free on the bus).

    The view was amazing and the hotel manager was very kind! It makes the stay more memorable. What definitely was very kind that the hotel manager waved us goodbye when we left. Also, after a long drive the pool and the sauna is perfect for relaxing. This is also the perfect accommodation if you are planning to travel around the town. The view will never get boring

    Great location in the heart of Berchtesgaden, feel the history of the place. Very caring and helpful staff. Free bus pass covering the area including the Obersalzburg etc. Room very comfortable and a superb breakfast to start the day. Definitely well worth a return visit.
