The pool was a nice respite from the heat. The canopy of trees surrounding the dining area provided beauty and great sightings of birds, monkeys, agouti, butterflies and morr. The breakfast was the best of anywhere I've traveled. But the very best thing was how lovely Roman and Bettina were as people and hosts. They really care about the comfort of their guests. It will be one of our best memories of this trip.

I loved the privacy and absolute peace I felt in the bungalow's private deck. Staff was really friendly and helpful and loved how Grammy (their dog) welcomed us.

So many places to relax around the pool and on the grounds. I liked that the music they played was super chill and relaxing… Not overwhelming and pounding. Great to have kitchen access. Nice little yoga deck under the trees. Just a really excellent place to Stay

Great location within 1 minute walking distance from the beach. At Tropical Sands it's quiet, the room and bathroom were spacious with good space to put away and hang up your clothes etc. It was clean and comfortable with the 2 fans (ceiling and wall) and 2 chairs and hammock on your private terrace, loved it! Also very friendly and helpfull staff. I would definitely recommend it.

Amazing pool, great stylish rooms. Good shower with hot water and good pressure - can be hard to find in CR! Another bonus was the room had a small dehumidifier which helps to eliminate any odours that are common in humid places. Black out curtains made for great sleep ins. Staff is really great, and the restaurant is a draw for locals, both for food and live music.

We arrived during a down pour and we couldn't have had a better greeting our host was very pleasant and gave us an umbrella to use. We enjoyed our stay even though it was raining. We ate our dinner by the pool which was perfect. We were only there one night, but wish we could've stayed longer, it was a beautiful area and we didn't get to see the view because of the rain, but can only image what the view is from there. It's a gorgeous setting.

    The beautiful thing about Dominical is the small town. It has a lot of restaurants and supermarkets. It is also close to Uvita which is a national park and the beaches are really nice. Also close by to the Nauyaca falls. Dominical is a good beach for surfers

    Perfect for young backpackers and hippie dippy types. Definitely has a Zen vibe with lots of young people about, but good for we 60+'s too. Very reasonable and convenient area to commute to many local/natural attractions.

    Dominical is a lovely part of the Pacific coast.

    Dominical is a lovely part of the Pacific coast. Once you get away from the main coastal road you discover wonderful scenery and wildlife. The waterfalls, reptile rescue centre, boat trips and many many outdoor activities can keep you busy for a month . From yoga to surfing you set the pace, Dominical will wrap you in nature and beauty scenery. We travelled as a couple but this area is great fro. families and groups of friends. I would recommend staying for 10 days. Pura Vida

    Although I loved Pacific Edge Eco Lodge and would definitely return, I found the little town of Dominical a bit off-putting. Seemed to be filled with aging gringos with no particular layout or planning. The beach was gorgeous though. Also, we visited Naucaya Waterfall, several miles from Dominical which was fabulous.

    Small place, very quite and relaxing. Nice beach in walking distance from any point of the town. Only few restaurants and one supermarket. If you look for more entertaiment, Uvita would probabaly satisfy you much more..

    Beautiful laid-back area with lots of things to do within an easy drive. Great beach area and a charming little town with lots of great places to shop and dine. We especially loved waffle fries at Fuego Brewing Company (and the cute treetop vibe), tacos at Hotel Rio Del Lindo, and homemade empanadas at Mama Toucans Natural Foods Store.

    This was one of the better hotels we stayed in on our 17 night trip and I would happily have stayed there for another few nights if our itinerary would have allowed. The price was very reasonable in comparison to some of the other places we stayed in. The location is great, very close to the beach and easy walking distance into town. Everything very clean and comfortable in the room. Free coffee and chilled water available at all times in reception. The pool was small but refreshing. The included breakfast was good value for money.

    Excellent location by the lovely Baru river, peaceful, but only a few mins into Dominical. We saw kingfishers and lots of other birds. Our cabin was spacious with a huge comfortable bed, a good bathroom., nice little kitchen and big shady veranda.. The swimming pool is a great bonus. Rylan was very welcoming and helpful. Lots to do nearby, but also nice to just stroll up the river or along the beach. We loved La Parcella restaurant (avocado ceviche), and Ricar 2 had delicious food too. We're coming back in a few weeks!

    Cool Vibes describes itself ! It is cosy, homy and roomy! I felt right at home and extended my trip for 3weeks, the kitchen is amazing, the private bathrooms per dorm is definitely a luxury feel and they cleaned the whole place everyday, the pool is chill since its in the shade in the afternoon, and the staff are just amazing ! Its right next to the beach, the laundry, the supermarket, the bus stop its just the best place ever 🦋 Pura Vida
