i did not have suffisient time to move around in the city. Consequently i am not able to give a appropiate description.. What I did not like was the fact that every night "poor" people would empty out of the official garbage containers in downtown Armenia throwing the contents on the square where the local business is operating. A fantastic place near Armenia There is one huge reason to go to Armenia, the Quindio Botanical Gardens four kilometres from town. They are the best botanical gardens I have been to since Kandy in Sri Lanka 42 years ago. They are big with a fabulous butterfly house. Our favourite thing was the steam room at the spa, the infinity pool, and the restaurant - the food was delicious and the menu was very generous! The staff were all very friendly and accommodating. Waking up in a glass cube facing the trees and valley were just amazing. I highly recommend the lamb tacos and the chocolate cake! The nests too were amazing appetisers too, try them all!!
