Chillán is highly underrated.
Chillán is highly underrated. I love visiting the Mexican murals in the Escuela de México, seeing the Cathedral, walking through the vegetable and artesan markets, and eating in the Mercado Municipal. Eat at Cocinería Carmencita, they have amazing Chilean dishes! Also, if you crave a good coffee, and especially if you are gluten free, go to Cafetería Limarí. The bedrooms needed a coat of paint and a refurb of the bathrooms and the public areas were similarly looking a bit tired. However, the bed itself was the most comfortable I have ever slept in!
