We only had one full day in Winnipeg, so there is much more of this welcoming city to see. We spent most of our time in the Forks area. We visited the Human Rights Museum. Very emotional, but we appreciate admitting to past mistakes and working to correct them instead of pretending they were never made. It was a beautiful July day. For some of the places I had hoped to visit, one needs a car. I did not rent a car and the private hire cars like Uber and Lyft did not go to one of the places I had hoped to visit. There were no tours to that place available. Parking on the hotel site makes a huge difference in Winnipeg. The Humphrey is close to all major tourist spots- The Forks, Exchange District, WAG, and Museum of Human Rights. Your false pricing scheme of using a lower CAD of 372 CAD including all taxes to entice customers into placing a reservation with Booking.com with the hotel's compliance, and then sending a confirmation email for a higher amount, in a different currency than the customer's, is illegal in Canada. Along with a full night's charge to ensnare the customer if the new false room rate is declined at the Birchwood Hotel Winnipeg Manitoba Canada front desk, both Booking.com and The Birchwood or Birchmount Winnipeg are obviously working together in tandem for illegal profiteering. The hotel is near main roads so you can easily get around Winnipeg with a car. Hotel had lots of parking, was near big box stores and groceries, had blackout curtains that work, comfy beds, good coffee and lots of choice for breakfast, pool and workout room were busy but clean and well equipped.
