Anneke served us a fantastic meal the night we came and brunch the next morning. The outdoor swimming pool and the sauna provided a spa-like experience right at our doorstep. After days spent exploring nearby Ghent and Bruges, these facilities were a welcome indulgence. Speaking of location, La Maison de Nikolas is perfectly situated. Just a short drive from the historic cities of Ghent and Bruges, we found it easy to immerse ourselves in Belgian culture and cuisine before retreating to our peaceful haven. The electric bikes enabled us to explore the green neighbourhood as well. The hosts were exceptionally welcoming, ensuring our stay was comfortable and memorable. Their attention to detail and commitment to guest satisfaction did not go unnoticed. In summary, La Maison de Nikolas offered a delightful contrast to city life—a place where one can unwind, recharge, and appreciate the simple pleasures of the countryside. We used the accommodation for an overnight stay for on our way home from England. The welcome was pleasant, although there was a language problem at first. The host's mother spoke only French in addition to her mother tongue, while we spoke only English and German (or Czech) . Finally everything was fine. The room warmed up quickly, the bed was soft, the bathroom had a bath as well. The breakfast was delicious and the language wall was also over. We can only recommend it.

The flat was very spacious, amazingly well furnished and so clean that I thought I was the first person to live there! There is a HUGE private balcony, washer and dryer which is free to use, a bike garage, a safe private car park, It was perfect for an extended stay in gent - a little bit out of town but if you have a bike it is a 15-20min cycle in with great cycle paths. I was working in Merelbeke so was a perfect mid way point!

The spa facilities were great. We enjoyed using the jacuzzi / hot tub & Sauna. Very clean and spacious apartment. A large selection of tv channels to watch. Wim made us feel welcome and was very helpful. She made us feel at home. The apartment is very modern and comfortable. Breakfast was very delicious, all freshly prepared and plentiful. A nice coffee machine to give you a great coffee with breakfast. You can eat indoors or in the garden. We enjoyed our stay very much and would highly recommend if you would like a relaxing and comfortable holiday.

Our B&B was wonderful, unfortunately it was very cold and a bit bitter in februari, was there for family business, but enjoyed the time in Wetteren, stayed over 2 nights in Gent and must admit there is a lot more to offer in Gent, really enjoyed the city of Gent 🫠

Best: clean, modern, room smells good. Bed comfortable. Easy parking. Worst: 10 mile detour to get there. No hair dryer, no coffee making facilities in the room. Old thin, frayed towels. Staff talking loudly outside our room window late in the evening when we were trying to sleep. Eating out: Ghent is full of eateries - just 7 mile away.

The hotel is located in very quiet town. The surrounding are beautiful and the hotel facilities are perfect. Fully recommended to stay with your couple, also with family. The service is directly from their owners, they will treat you like family. If you go with a rented car, your find plenty of space for parking. Fully recommended. Don't miss this hotel if you go to Belgium. Its between Ghent and Brussels, so very good location.

Very friendly and helpful owner who gave us lots of local information about places to eat and visit. The house is a lovely modern design and the room included a spacious private terrace ovelooking fields. It is in a quiet location on the edge of Wetteren but It's only 10 minutes to the centre by bicycle. The double bath was great and the breakfast (served in the room) was delicious.

We liked the very friendly and helpful host and the spacious apartment. The location was on the edge of Wetteren but walking distance to some good facilities. Including a great pop up bar and lovely woodland area. Plus it was easy to get to Ghent, Brussels Brugge and the coast (about 1 hour or so away)
