Easy city to navigate, sightseeing venues central, easy to locate. Staff in shops professional & friendly, happy, good service is shops. Good range of shopping & eateries available, only criticism would be that we couldn’t find a coffee shop open after 4pm on Sunday, apart from the RSL. Botanical gardens worth visiting. Train service from Melbourne very efficient, clean. Station easy walk to shops.

We drove around quite a bit as the weather wasnt great. Warrnambool is a fairly large place and beaches are lovely. There are quite a lot of areas we couldn't access as we were travelling with out 2 dogs but it's a lovely part of the world.

Only stayed one night, but managed to have a walk around town. Friendly locals helped us find one or particular shops. Seemed easy to get around with the main highway going from one end to the other, and retail off there.

I really loved looking out for whales, and our gorgeous hot springs visit on our winter trip. The hot springs were a little crowded though - less people per session would really have helped me relax more.

Flagstaff Hill Maritime Museum was fabulous; a chance to wander around a village of bygone days. And plenty of displays. Being school holidays, there was a puppet making and woodworking workshop which was fabulous. Very steep though so not ideal for those with mobility aids. Great gift shop and Beaches Cafe is attached with quality food and excellent service. Plenty of shopping for those that need it. Port of Warrnambool and beaches to see (just not when we were there due to the bad weather!) Port Fairy is just a 20 minutes drive away with a great little bakery for lunch - Cobb’s Bakery - and Tower Hill to see koalas in their natural habitat. The Lake Pertobe Adventure Playground is a hit with the kids; so much equipment to play on and things to do, including mini golf. Macs Hotel / Macey’s Bistro has excellent food, great atmosphere and friendly efficient staff. Lots of different types of accommodation to choose from for all types of travel groups of people in all price ranges. A great place for a relaxing break anytime of year.

A great town to visit however as we had to pay $470 to replace a damaged tyre due to large pot holes on highway one we were far from impressed with. It was reported in the media at the same time twelve other motorist experienced the same which does not reflect very well on the area to for travelers. The positive side however was the great service Neil at the Goodyear Tyre Centre assisted us with to get one in for us over night.

It was rainy days for the trip. Therefore, we were left indoor. Extremely glad that the house has provided us with the comfort, the joy being indoor with the family where we relaxed watching Netflix while snacking, having nice meals (beautiful kitchen and dining area), drinking wine (lovely complimentary from host), and kids with the gadgets. All in all it is a good experience.

Everything was perfect, the name of this guest house is well chosen because you will really feel home, away from home. You got free water, a cozy room, big bathroom, Tv (netflix) and an equipped kitchen for yourself! The family is really nice
