If you go there on a busy weekend, order your food early, local restaurants get very busy, we waited an hour and when we turned up to pick up the food they were turning away customers, telling them the wait is 2 hours and they were not taking any more orders. We had been to the Tea Gardens many years ago.
We had been to the Tea Gardens many years ago. We are in our 70s now. We found the place very welcoming scenic and peaceful. It certainly has grown since the last time we were there. But we will most defiantly be back again. peaceful quiet and beautiful water ways beach, great food and atmosphere. What more can I say. Local walks and scenery beautiful, great spot to get away from busy life. You can relax in the river views. Close to Hawks Nest and Bennetts Beach. Need a car to get here. Some buses and you can catch a ferry to Nelson Bay and back. Great cafes boat shed was my favourite as it was on the water.Guest review byAnnaAustralia

There was a garage for our vehicle and a washing machine if needed. The master bedroom had a fabulous ensuite with a spa bath. The balcony is a lovely place to sit and enjoy the sun, breeze on a warm day and the view. And the BBQ was in good condition. Plenty of room for two couples to have their own space as well.
