Portarlington is a beautiful little seaside town.
Portarlington is a beautiful little seaside town. There are great safe beaches and a wonderful pier to enjoy fishing and walks. Great for golfers with a beautiful golf course and the golf club has great dining facilities with delicious meals and drinks. There are some wonderful little cafes and dress/ shoe shops and of course a bakery and Hotel. I must say the menu at the hotel was very basic and limited and drinks very expensive. Portalington is a small cute coastal fishing location.
Portalington is a small cute coastal fishing location. Boats, water and a cute business strip gives it character. Restaurants, cafes facing out to the ocean make them special to experience. The area has many drawcards: Gourmet and Produce - the main! Fresh fish supplies/muscles (BYO Eski and ice),great wineries, Distilleries/Whiskey olive grove and rolling hills, vineyards and blue back drop. I can recommend the Atrium at the pub for dinner, and the bakery for the best morning coffee and almond croissant! It was easy to get around by car. Great cabins with everything you need made available. The down side was not having a view of the sea but the gardens and facilities would be great if you have children. Cute little town.
Cute little town. Such friendly service, particularly at the Grand Hotel where we spent new years eves as out of towners. Closes early and taxI services are limited later in evening. The beach is gorgeous and a nice little walk. Would love to take my dogs here.Guest review byWendyAustralia

Loved the view out to the bay from the balcony. Short stroll into the heart of Portarlington. We left our booking for Easter late so Portarlington was not high on our list but we were pleasantly surprised by this town, beautifully designed bay infrastructure, ferry rides, great boutique shops, historic pub and the discovery of the food truck park was gold.
