We had a beautiful stay at Forest Cottage — peaceful, cozy, and everything we needed. Jessica was a lovely and attentive host. The breakfast supplies were generous, the bed incredibly comfy, and we loved the fireplace (with all firewood provided!). The area around the cottage offers plenty of options for hiking, cycling, scenic lookouts, and reconnecting with nature. Everything was clean, well maintained, and full of thoughtful details — from a delicious house-made liqueur to a well-stocked minibar. We would absolutely come back!

Olinda is a lovely place to stay or visit.

Olinda is a lovely place to stay or visit. My husband and I had dinner at King Henry’s Restaurant which was close by and had a lovely family lunch at The Pig & Whistle Tavern which was also very close to our accommodation. Also close to The Botanic Gardens and SkyHigh restaurant and lookout. Fabulous.

Olinda is in a beautiful, forested setting dominated by huge Montain ash trees. It is well served by cafes, restaurants, gift shops and pubs. The Mount Dandenong Botanical Gardens is located in Olinda and recommended to any garden lover.

Loved the SkyHigh observatory and Cloudhill gardens - and the botanic garden- plus the Olinda Tea house was excellent. Central location to visit all the gardens scattered around Olinda and areas of interest- loved sassafras which like Olinda had some unique stores - highly recommend Olinda as a central spot to allow one to explore this gorgeous area :) Lots of things to do for varied interests such as trails and even visiting Puffing Billy in Emerald - and Kallista Tea house plus much more :)

A great location, just a short drive from the other villages...

A great location, just a short drive from the other villages in the region. Good restaurants were the Pig & Whistle and House of Fras, however our absolute favourite eating spot was Proserpina Bakehouse. The food in this bakehouse is exceptional! Arrive hungry and consider their chai tea (it's an amazing experience)! Many easy walking tracks within a short drive, with excellent views of Melbourne. Botanical Gardens is also worth a visit - we saw an echidna in the wild here.

Olinda is just beautiful the shops cafes scenery brilliant Sky High look out is amazing and RJ Hamer Arboretum is a must see. We did venture into Sassafras for lunch each day the food was absolutely delicious highly Recommend Miss Marples , Sassafras Cafe and Fortnums

My husband and I stay here each year for our anniversary. The hosts are amazing, the gardens are just beautiful, and the cottages are so cute, cosy, and always clean. Then there's the little touches that just make it feel even more welcoming... you walk into a beautifully scented cottage with soft music playing on your arrival, and not to mention the breakfast provided is always fantastic and so thoughtfully put together! It's quite literally my favourite getaway place!

The location was ideal on the outskirts of Olinda very close to the Botanic Gardens which were beautiful and well worth visiting. The shops and cafes were a short walk away. We enjoyed the varied birdlife in the garden. We appreciated the welcome pack provided. The cottage was a warm, cosy place to stay and we'd love to stay again next time we visit Melbourne

The stay at Arcadia Cottages was exceptional. Prior to us staying, storms unfortunately disrupted the gas lines connecting to the cottage we booked, and they were incredibly generous in offering one of the other cottages to us. The transparency & the alternative options provided were very well received & couldn't be happier with the level of service provided.

Beautiful cottage nested inside the forest. Fire place and heat pump kept the place warm. Daily freshly baked bread was delivered every morning. Big spa tub, smart TV. The host Rhonda was very helpful and got us tickets to KaBloom Flower Festival. The cottage is close to Cloudehill Garden, RJ Hanmer Arboretum and Botanical Garden.
