I would like to have a ranch of my own, with a house that stands in the middle of a large meadow. Early in the morning, while cooking breakfast in the kitchen, out the window you can see herds of cows and sheep eating their breakfast as well. A house with many rooms. Practically a maze in there. Thoughtful amenities. Eg. a dedicated baby room with its own potty with flushing sounds and a wine bar with bottles of wine for sale. Clear instructions for checking out and labels on switches to indicate which rooms they are for. Handheld shower heads in the shower stalls. Heater in the bathrooms for winter. Dust free floorboards and clean bedlinen. 3 bathrooms and 1 toilet. Well-equipped laundry room and kitchen. Overall, it is a very clean and comfortable place.

if you are travelling the great ocean road and you are looking for an extraordinary boutique hotel experience, drift house is the way to go. the rooms are large and designed with attention to detail, forming part of what feels like a little design campus in port fairy. the dinner we had at the hotel was outstanding, as was breakfast. we received the friendliest and most personal treatment from maddie, and it almost felt like leaving a friend after only two days.
