Halls Gap is beautiful.
Halls Gap is beautiful. We visited the new Gallery at WAMA and its botanical garden area, which we will definitely do again. There are some nice eateries. Flame Brothers was excellent, and the local wine shop stocks a great range of regional wines. The Pomonal Wildflower Show was a highlight, with lunch at Barneys. Halls Gap has a lot to offer. Scenery, great trails around the town and in the wilderness. Great town with so many nice options for great coffee and food. One of Australia's best travel designations. Visitor centre helper left a bit to be desired - he wanted to us to go to Great Western or Horsham but couldn’t tell us much about Halls Gap or the walking trails. Parks Victoria need to provide better walking trail maps/brochures. The colour book is not suitable for walking/ hiking with or using in inclement weather. We had dinner at the Halls Gap Hotel Restaurant just on the out skirts of town which was good. Breakfast we had at the Grampians Restaurant Cafe Bar. The breakfast was amazing and the chef/owner was really nice to talk too and made us feel very welcome. The shops are doing it tough so it was good to show support and visit the shops. The Zoo and McKenzie Falls were highlights for us.
The Zoo and McKenzie Falls were highlights for us. Both are definitely worth doing. There are also several very good restaurants and a nice brewery pub. We only were there for an overnight stay, but could have stayed longer.Guest review byTimroyAustralia

Big deck visited daily by cockatoos looking for breakfast (but do not feed them!) and mountain views. Comfy king bed. Fairly well-equipped kitchen. Access to laundry with washer and dryer on lower level. Short drive or longer walk to Halls Gap restaurants. Access code to lock box and instructions were clear.
