United KingdomLocation was incredible - a perfect view of the river, and extremely convenient for getting to the ferry crossing into the Daintree. I really appreciated how helpful the owner was - he saw that I was a nature photographer and showed me local wildlife he thought I might be interested in! He really made my day and made me feel so welcome. I will absolutely recommend this place to friends visiting in the future.

Food trucks were good, food was great, we really like the whole set up.
we had the Luxe glamping option, and having our own bathroom and shower set up was awesome.

CanadaThe whole place was magical. We loved bathing in the outdoor shower and bath surrounded by tropical plants. We were here not long after cyclone Jasper hit, so most places in Daintree were closed and there were no other guests. We had to cancel a few tours we booked because of the cyclone but we think that was a blessing in disguise since it gave us time to relax, cook delicious meals in the outdoor kitchen, cool off in the swimming hole a few minutes walk away, walk north along the closed road, helped clear some of the deadfall along one of the trails (we volunteered). There were so many different rainforest sounds in the day and at night. The 5 nights we were there we didn’t use our car to get anywhere, other than when we arrived and left! We will be back one day in the future.

Good kitchen facilities with all you may need, as well as decently priced meals and coffees for purchase at their cafe that looked and smelled good. The sleeping facilities were also very spacious and comfortable, being right in the rainforest, immersed in nature was my favourite part!

Loved Daintree rainforest and cape tribulation. A must see if you are heading to Cairns, Palm Cove or Port.Douglas. It’s is a world heritage site. The whole experience from the ferry ride, meandering along windy roads whilst taking in the magnificent tropical views to our destination was fascinating. The 2023 December cyclone caused chaos with the roads eroding & severely damaged, there are traffic management staff all the way with single lanes & traffic lights along cape tribulation road. 4 days was awesome, 1. Atherton tablelands, 2 indigenous tour / learn to spear fish & other indigenous ways, look for different bush foods, 3. Bruce belcher croc trip, mossman gorge and cultural tour by indigenous leader 4. Pt Douglas, reef trip, shopping or day spa! 5. Daintree Village ferry and high-top walk way 6. Go see Donna at Daintree Wild and hear about her fabulous stories of running the old zoo, which is now a bed and breakfast! Injured Emus in cars, wild wombats and an attack by a cassowary and the people who were scared to go into their room because there was a small green tree snake 30 m away on the balcony!!Guest review byJulieAustralia - 8.0

Daintree was lovely and we enjoyed birdwatching, exploring some of the surrounding tracks and, particularly, an early-morning birding trip on the Daintree River. A wonderful experience in the Daintree and Cape Trib. We missed the Cassowary Falls as they wanted $59 per adult to enter. So sadly, no where nearby for a free swim in the heat. Ferry over the river was $45 return which is pricey for a 2 minute trip across. The DVH Pub over the road had great bar staff with meals and drinks very affordable and yummy. The manager even put the T20 world cup cricket final on the TV for us. The café at Thornton Beach had great views and tasty sour dough sandwiches. Recommend a stop at the Daintree Ice-cream park too as they were fantastic flavors and only $7.50 for a tub of four varieties!Guest review byIanP65Australia - 10.0

Beautiful, amazing and peaceful, we loved the Daintree. Can't wait to visit again. Cassowary falls was amazing and I would recommend the Eco Lodge for dinner. Unfortunately we missed out on daintree icecream but won't next visit. Dave at Solarwhisper tours was amazing with his personal knowledge of the local crocs and wildlife. Swimming in the Emmagen creek was fun, we should have gone to the blue holes for a swim but will have too next time also. Highly recommended sailaway tours to Mackay Cay for a great reef experience.Guest review byJulieAustralia

Charmaine and Robbie are wonderful hosts that make you feel like home. Robbie cooks the beast breakfast ever and both of them are very caring. the room and the common area is spotless and the bed very comfortable. they provide a shared fridge and cutlery…an add on is the wonderful garden where they grow lots of exotic fruits. would come back any time!! couldn’t be any better!!!Guest review byCarolinAustralia

There is a seating area outside the rooms with a table and chairs and also a shared kitchen. The hotel and cafe are only a minute walk away. The hosts are very pleasant and helpful.
