Friendly community, time permitting we would have explored more of Cobden's & surrounding areas facilities & attractions. Cafe has great Coffee, fresh baked date scones & interesting knick-nacks 2 purchase. Our G/son was eager 2 go 2 Squash courts (visible from balcony). Heytesbury House is a great place to stay but Cobden itself...
Heytesbury House is a great place to stay but Cobden itself is really lacking facilities and the pub was closed so we ate at the Golf Club which was really poor. Would recommend going up the road and exploring Camperdown which is a stunning town with more food options.Guest review byErinAustralia

There’s so much to do during down time with plenty of games, books, dvds and cds plus the pool table and dart board. The aircon worked well to cool the place on sunny afternoons and the bed was quite comfy. Robyn was a lovely host who showed us around and provided a well-stocked kitchen! Small tv but was great having access to Chromecast. Good having access to an extra warm blanket as it was very cold weather. A 10 min walk into very quite town..nice bakery for breakfast and Thommo's hotel does great meals. Only 3 CUB beers on tap so not great for Craft Beer drinkers. Cobden is within 1hr driving distance of the Great Ocean Rd, Warrnambool and the Otway Ranges, making it a lovely quiet spot to rest.
