The tourist attractions we wanted to see were spot on.
The tourist attractions we wanted to see were spot on. The town and area where we stayed was clean and tidy. A lovely place. The Anzac Memorial site was fantastic, my grandfather was killed at Gallipoli and the information and effort that has gone into this is such a great memorial to all. The Gap and Natural bridge is a nice spot to visit. Middleton beach, the whaling station, the Amity were all nice to visit.Guest review byMargaretAustralia - 10.0

Albany has so much to offer visitors, I say visitors because that is the best way to approach Albany. Friendly folk and beautiful coastline but remember that Albany can bring you all 4 seasons in one day so be prepared for that. Not a single traffic ;light in the town jus roundabouts which makes driving very easy. Take time to search out the local tour operators and the local farmers markets , you wont be disappointed. Very quiet when we visited (end of September) went to Denmark first which was absolutely amazing! Went on a highly recommended whaling cruise boat trip in the morning - saw whales - and visited the whaling factory museum in the afternoon. So many beautiful beaches in the area. A beautiful coastal city with incredible information on the early settlers of Western Australian. This should be included in teaching our children this important part of WA History. Many amazing heritage buildings or sites to visit and explore, with never enough time to take it all in. The beaches are beautiful and close to downtown Albany. Frenchman's Bay and Oyster Harbour are close to explore. Many great eateries to choose from no matter what time of the year you're visiting. Denmark is a stones through away and many local wineries in the Plantaganet shire entice you in. Lovely wines in this area of WA. The town itself isn't that interesting though it's very pleasant, and has some fantastic local scenery. The places you can go to are amazing. We were unfortunate with the weather, so though we had booked a week, we were limited in what we could do so far as visiting the national parks we were interested in. A nice place to visit for a couple of days. Not a lot to do here . Also nightlife is almost non existent. 2 nights was enough for us . Enjoyed The Anzac Memorial, definitely worth a visit and so was the Old Gaol . The staff at the Gaol were excellent.Guest review byCarolynAustralia
