The 180 degree view from the Gasthof Maria Plain hotel terrace, and from the balcony of room #20 which we had, captures sweeping pastoral greenery in the foreground, behind which is the city of Salzburg with the iconic fortress on the berg, back-dropped by the soaring Austrian Alps. Located on the outskirts of Salzburg, the hotel features beautiful gardens and offers stunning views of the city, especially at night. The surrounding area was also well worth exploring.
