Small town, 10 min from Hallstatt and lake, and 15 min from Dachstein Krippenstein (Mamoth and Ice caves, Glacier and mass of tracks...) Much easer and chipper to stay at Bad Goisern. There are restaurants near the hostel if you don't want to cook on your own.
