This accommodation exceeded our expectations. Beautiful little old village in the mountains. Batjar and his family are very friendly and nice people. Batjat's wife is a really great cook. There are 2 beautiful lakes nearby for swimming. Village inhabitants were very friendly people and although we dont speak albanian, meeting them was amazing. The journey in Batjar's car from Berat to the village was also an amazing experience, because there were many beautiful views of the mountains and countryside and Batjar is a fun companion.

Arjan & Anila were super welcoming, genuinely kind, and just all around lovey, making the stay outstanding. The breakfast was homemade and prepared with love, and when it rained one evening after we had walked over for dinner, Arjan even offered to drive us the 4" walk home so we wouldn't get wet. Importantly, as this is relevant for some rental cars, the road is asphalted just until the house so all is good in that regard. Driving beyond the guest house, however, is unpaved (but in good condition as of Oct 2025). Overall we were amazed and super happy, this was by far the best accommodation we stayed at in Albania.

We loved our stay here, the balcony was beautiful, the beds were comfy, chocolate on the table, great location to winery, cheap and delicious restaurant over the road. A short 15 minute walk to the lake. A incredible generous host. We all would love to return.

Wonderful guesthouse! Elsa is a fantastic host who made us feel instantly welcome. Mornings began with coffee overlooking stunning mountains and vineyards—pure relaxation. The kitchen downstairs is available for breakfast prep, and Elsa’s fresh bread each morning was a delightful touch. You may use the washing machine if you have laundry. There’s a scenic lake within walking distance where you can swim, plus a couple of local restaurants and a nearby winery for wine tastings. The atmosphere is quiet and authentic; I recommend staying at least two nights to soak it all in. You’ll need your own car—parking is available either on the main road or up at the house, but the driveway is narrow, so a compact car and confident driving are helpful!

The hotel was clean, close to town. Staff were very helpful, facilitated a taxi for us to get to Ksamil. and were able to give us directions to what we were looking for in the city

It was a fantastic stay. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Berat. The personnel was very welcoming, breakfast was great and they also offered us free parking. We will come back.
