There is a private bathroom with bidet in some units, along with free toiletries, a hairdryer and slippers. Hakuba Third Place Lodge is one of my favourite places I’ve stayed. From the moment we arrived, we felt completely at home. Everything was spotless, and the private bath was beautifully designed and so relaxing after a day on the slopes. Akira and his team were incredibly friendly, welcoming, and efficient, always making sure we had everything we needed. The included breakfast was absolutely delicious. The location is ideal—just minutes from the ski slopes and close to lovely bars and restaurants. We can’t wait to come back! Thank you Akira and the team.

Located in Kiso in the Nagano region, Pension Kaoru provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking, as well as access to a hot tub.

All units include a private bathroom and have air conditioning, a flat-screen TV and a fridge. For added convenience, the property can provide towels and bed linen for an extra charge. We loved the incredibly delicious food (dinner and breakfast) and the great hospitality of the owner and his wife. Our room was pretty large and had all amenities you need, except an ensuite bathroom. The shared bathroom is clean, large and comfortable with showers and an onsen! If you're lucky you have the bathroom for yourself. Although we had a rental car we stayed nearby the pension to avoid the load of tourists on e.g. the Magome- Tsumago trail. Kaida is a pretty village from where you can hike. The waterfalls trail loop on the way to mount Ontake is beautiful and tranquil as is the whole area around mount Ontake. It's easy to spend 4 days at Kaoru!

Situated in Myoko, 31 km from Zenkoji Temple and 33 km from Nagano Station, Pension Moomin Papa features accommodation with free WiFi, air conditioning, a garden and a shared lounge. The accommodation has a spa bath. Very helpful & lovely hosts. The onsen is great. Papa was happy to give us a lift. He even brought our bags to the train station when we missed the bus back from the snow monkeys.

Mr. Chen is really super kind, so caring to his guest, super polite, super generous.. I am at a loss for words to describe how kind he is. I am really very grateful for Mr. Chen's kindness and attention. Thank you so much Mr. Chen’s we will never forget your kindness. The room and bathroom are super comfortable and clean. They are always cleaned every day. The location is super strategic because the shuttle stop is right across the street. At check in and check out, Mr. Chen will pick you up and drop you off on time. There is not a single negative thing about this place.

Offering ski-to-door access and ski storage space, Belle Vue Nishiura is located in Minami Uonuma in the Niigata Region, a 3-minute walk from Ishiuchi-Maruyama Ski Resort. The property offers a free shuttle service. Free private parking is available on site. Amazing ski hotel close to all the action. The hotel is really cosy with multiple private baths. The rental options are at a far better price, and there are a lot of big European sizes. The owner goes above and beyond for the customer, offering to drive from the station to the mountains. The breakfast is also very tasty :).

Villa Orange Cabin is set in the Fujikawaguchiko Onsen-kyo district of Fujikawaguchiko, 5 km from Lake Kawaguchi, 7.4 km from Fuji-Q Highland and 28 km from Mount Fuji. This 1-star villa offers free shuttle service and luggage storage space. The villa offers rooms with air conditioning, free private parking and free WiFi. Staff offered a free of charge shuttle back to Kawaguchiko station once our stay was over. The rental bikes and BBQ were very nice and convenient. The service from the staff was excellent.

I had a very pleasant stay at Sakka Sanso. The room was clean, spacious, and comfortable, and the staff were exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Both meals were excellent—the breakfast was healthy and filling, while the dinner was delicious and satisfying. The bathroom features an onsen, providing a relaxing soak after a refreshing shower. They also provided convenient transportation to and from the station, which was greatly appreciated. Overall, it was a truly wonderful experience, and I will definitely stay here again on my next trip to Hakuba.
