The staff were very friendly and helpful. My late check-in time and late breakfast were no problem at all. I was even able to leave my luggage there after checking out. The capsule is an experience in itself. I felt like a little kid in a toy spaceship. You can dim the lights by touch and it even has a TV screen. You can also choose how much air conditioning you want. In contrast to other shared rooms, however, the lighting conditions that you have set in the capsule itself remain the same the whole time, so that you are not disturbed while sleeping when the light in the main room is switched on and others are not disturbed by your own light, e.g. when reading. All in all, a really great and recommendable experience that will stay in your memory.

Looking for a capsule hotel?

Developed in Japan, these cheap 'pod' hotels are a novelty for any traveller. With rows of small single bed enclosed capsules, accommodation is basic and intended to be overnight. There is separate storage for luggage and gender-separate communal bathrooms — some capsule hotels also have a sentō, a Japanese bath house, often for male guests only.
