We picked him up and drove out to his camp not knowing what to expect. We were remote, away from the tours, with waves of golden sand at our feet. After tea, Beth and I walked the dunes to watch a lovely sunset. After a delicious tagine, we were surprised with a full moon rising and a sky of stars. The quiet was deafening, then broken with Berber rhythms from Larbi, his brother Nayim and friend Bryham. We danced by the fire and then shared life stories. We now have a new desert family.

At Majorelle Desert Camp, the family-friendly restaurant is open for dinner, lunch and brunch and specialises in African cuisine. Great experience in the desert with Hamad, Cecile and all the team who are super nice and helpful! The tents are really comfortable and ensure an immersive experience! We had a superb new year evening with a band playing revisited traditional songs and a great dinner! We definitely recommend Majorelle Desert Camp to live a first experience in the desert!

These wise, young, generous men couldn’t have done anything more to warm our hearts, enrich our experience or increase our comfort. They went above and beyond in every way, we absolutely adored them, the accommodation and the magic of their dunes, camels, food, etc. Highly recommend - if we ever make it back, we would love to see them and stay with them again!!

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. We stayed one night in the camp as a group of three friends, and the experience exceeded all expectations — it was truly joyful and memorable. We were met at a parking spot on the outskirts of Zagora, and while they offered to take us directly in their Defender, we were allowed to follow them most of the way in our own 4x4. The final stretch was an exciting ride on the roof of their jeep — a fun start to the adventure! After a welcoming tea, we went on a sunset camel ride around the camp. The scenery was beautiful, and we got some great photos. Dinner afterward was absolutely delicious — the tajine was the most tender we had in Morocco, and the variety of meat and vegetable dishes was a real surprise. Breakfast was also generous and tasty — we had more than enough for our long journey ahead. In the evening, the team played Berber music by the fire, shared riddles, and danced with us — it was relaxed, fun, and full of good energy. Special thanks to Simo, the camp manager, who was incredibly kind and took us for a walk on the nearby dunes, sharing stories and facts about the region. The tent itself was large, clean, and surprisingly well-equipped, with a private bathroom, proper shower, and sink. We were the only guests that night, which made the experience even more peaceful and personal. Highly recommended to anyone looking for a unique and heartfelt stay in the desert.

Everything was perfect, the contact before our stay, the pickup at the main road, the excellent dinner and breakfast and the very friendly guys at the site. Even if the camp is not at the biggest dunes, it is still a very good opening to explore the desert of Morocco. We wish everybody putting efforts in this camp all the best and hope to find this place next year in the same condition. Even our 3 month baby was taken care of in a perfect way. Guests at the luxury tent can make the most of yoga classes offered in-house. We enjoyed our stay at Nomads Heaven Camp very much. Moloud is a very experienced host and guide, very proficient in different languages. Very friendly! Food was good and typical moroccon dishes for breakfast and dinner. Everything was reasonably priced. It was very quiet, approximately 6 km from Mhamid. You live in tent-like clay buildings. It was rather warm inside during the night. So we did not need warmer clothes inside. You can walk 200-300 m and you enter an area with smaller dunes with super fine sand. We just sat there and enjoyed a sunset and sunrise there. So it is "desert experience light". Be aware that the real desert with the big 100m high dunes is 60 km/ 2h away. Moloud could have organized a tour by 4x4 and/or camel. But that would have taken us more time, also one person had health issues. So ideally you spend 2-3 days. And stay in the "real" desert overnight.

A true desert immersion. We had a transfer from Mahamid. Our driver and also our guide spoke great English and provided an amazing experience, showing us the Nomad villages on the way. The food (we had lunch, dinner and breakfast) was one of the best we had during our 10 days in Morocco. The camp definitely exceeded our expectations, was right next to the big dunes, was super comfortable and clean, with our tent having a private bathroom with a shower and hot water. We took a camel ride to the big sand dunes and sand boarded down them. Cannot recommend enough! An absolute must when you’re in Morocco!
