Although we happened to be there in a very hot and humid day, we did enjoy the stay 100%. There are a lot of travelers and you can meet new people, the environment is friendly and chill.

Featuring family rooms, this property also provides guests with a sun terrace. The Camp is located at a wonderful small beach, surrounded by palm trees and mangrove forest. The whole small camp is designed were nicely and made with a lot of love. It has a very nice chill/kitchen area with a large table to get together with the other guests and volunteers. We could join the family dinner and breakfast for some extra money, which was very tasty. We did rent kayaks and went to the mangrove forest. The host Laurence helped a lot in preparing the trip and gave us a lot of information to arrive to the camp and go to Livingston. She was very helpful and kind as the other guest were. I would recommend to stay at least three nights, but a few days longer would probably be even better.

All of their workers there are super nice, have a nice smile and they make everything happen that you feel super nice there. The standard of everything there is just higher than in any other hotel we have been so far in Guatemala. If it comes to the shower, bathroom, bed or any other facilities, it’s just great! Also the small details! And the best thing is really as already mentioned the staff there. This is one of the hotels where you will say in a few years, remember the „El Viajero“ in rio dulce, and you‘ll immediately remember which one it was.

Can only vouch for the doorm room, which was simple but nice. No fans or ac, but located on the 3rd floor with open windows, and the temperature at night was on point. Friendly staff and a good relaxed vibe away from traffic. Flexible with the boat transfer if you willing to chip in a few bucks for the gas and service
