We have stayed in a number of hotels in the Coaching Inn chain but this was by far the best. The location was perfect being situated in the heart of Dartmoor. The facilities excellent. The restaurant was extremely well appointed with a variety of comfortable chairs and sofas. The staff were brilliant and very accommodating when asked for variations to the menu.

The Mason Arms is located on Devon’s Jurassic Coast, just a 10-minute walk from Branscombe Beach. Dating back to the 14th-century, this property offers an award-winning restaurant, locally brewed ales and free parking. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. I loved the outside sitting area in front of our room. The breakfast was excellent, making us what we wanted even though it wasn't on the menu. Good location to visit other beautiful spots and plenty of local walks.

Location was perfect for us, on a nice quiet street with good parking, just steps away from the University campus. Owner friendly, flexible and fast to address all of our requests. The property is an old traditional house, preserving a lot of features. Room very spacious and decorated in line with the period of the house and well kitted with everything, including a mini-fridge and a mobile heater. Good internet! Very big bathroom, fitted with both shower and bathtub and with a generous selection of lotions and bath soaks. The breakfast had a good variety of food, a cold-buffet type, with a range of teas and coffees. All self-serving, just make-your-own.

Very welcoming and in the best part of the Village. The garden was immaculate and so peaceful and perfect to sit and enjoy this surrounding area.
